Byfleet Cricket Club was founded in 1876 and apart from short breaks during the two world wars cricket has been played every season since on the Parvis Road ground. We are essentially a community club with aspirations to play at the highest level we can sustain without losing sight of our village roots.
League cricket dominates the Saturday programme for our 1st and 2nd elevens, who compete respectively in the Fullers Surrey County League (1st & 2nd XI’s). On Sundays we offer a mixture of friendly matches where the emphasis is more on the social aspects of cricket.
Our Junior section provides fun cricket experience for boys and girls. Training sessions are supervised by our own qualified and DBS checked coaches and as a Clubmark accredited club we can confidently offer a safe and relaxed environment for all ages. Our junior section introduction gives more details on how the section operates.
In the winter following the 2017 season the club embarked on an ambitious facilities improvement programme. Stand alone changing rooms were installed behind the pavilion allowing the old space to be gutted and completely redesigned and refurbished. A pictorial record of the two winters of works can be seen in the relevant albums of our gallery. We are pleased to offer our facilities for hire and details of our terms & availability can be obtained via e-mail.
We welcome new playing and social members and enquiries should be directed to Andy Savage. Alternatively drop into the ground any time there is activity taking place.
