New for the 2016 season are the Player of the Month awards for Adults and Under 18s to recognise their contribution to the Saturday XIs.
For June our Adult winner is once again Waseem Ashraf. Waseem has taken 8 league wickets in June in the 2nd XI at an average of under 20 runs. His continued good start to the season sees him challenging for the league’s leading wicket taker spot. Waseem wins a bottle of champagne.
Our Under 18s winner for June also comes from the 2nd XI. Dan Bowman has returned some good bowling figures; often deserving more. In addition he bowled an excellent spell at Merrow (2-21) and helped keep out the last few overs (with Andy Kumar) to save the game. As a one-off he has also represented the 3rd XI! Scoring an excellent 37 and taking 2-13 in the win against Camberley. Dan wins a £10 sports shop voucher.
