New for the 2016 season are the Player of the Month awards for Adults and Under 18s to recognise their contribution to the Saturday XIs.
For May our Adult winner is Waseem Ashraf. Waseem has taken 11 league wickets in the 2nd XI at an average of only 11 runs. In addition to his wickets he has made a couple of key contributions with the bat – in particular his 37 runs against Shepperton and getting the team over the line against the odds versus Woodmansterne. Waseem wins a bottle of champagne.
Our Under 18s winner for May also comes from the 2nd XI. Alfie Mickley has cemented his place in the team after a string of impressive bowling performances. Alfie has taken 6 league wickets at an average of 20 runs (and deserved several more). Like Waseem, Alfie has also made important contributions with the bat, showing a fantastic cricketing brain to take the fight to Woodmansterne. Alfie wins a £10 sports shop voucher.
Contgratulations to both our winners!
