Please be advised that the 2017 AGM will be held at the Club on Thursday 30th November commencing @ 20:00 PM.
The AGM is one of the most important events of the year. In short it discusses and decides the fundamentals for the 2018 cricket season. Anything from nominating captains, committee members, playing requirements, the pitches/clubhouse, finances and memberships to name just a few items. This meeting allows all existing and potential members to voice their praise, views or opinions on how our club is run.
The club has a reasonably sized membership, including the colt section. However, the administration side is run by a very small number who provide their time and passion to ensure regular cricket is maintained and played. The club prides itself on being a well-run organisation, so why not give some of your time to the club and make it an even better place than it is already? Please do not leave it to others as there is only so much the few can do. Come to the AGM let’s hear your voice, opinions and make a difference to this great club.
Should you wish to nominate a club member for ANY of the offices, whether the incumbent officer has expressed a wish to stand for re-election or not, please firstly ascertain the individual’s willingness to stand, and then send a nomination, duly seconded, to Andy Savage by Thursday 23rd November. Preferably nominations should be sent by e-mail to [email protected] or by text to 07921 949867.
If there is to be a vote for any of the committee posts there will be a secret ballot on the night and a simple majority will prevail.
We look forward to seeing you all on the 30th. Please be prompt!
